Skeeve started using the Internet when it was turned on in Australia in 1989 when he was attending Uni in Melbourne doing Journalism and Psychology. After returning to Sydney, Skeeve worked with some of the first ISPs such as Geko and Magnadata. He then founded his own ISP in early 1995. He went on to design and build the first Wholesale Aggregation ISP – UnitedIP. Skeeve has been involved in the design and building of over 200 ISPs over the last 15 years.
In 2007 Skeeve founded eintellego as a specialist network integrator that focused on building and managing the network of ISPs and Medium Enterprises. eintellego has then gone on to become eintellego Networks and has since expanded into Large Enterprise, Government and SME networking solutions as well as custom designed platform development.
Skeeve is a former Director of The Internet Society in Australia, former Co-Chair of the Policy SIG for APNIC, and is an international speaker on many subjects such as: IPv6, Network Design, Social Media, Infrastructure Protection, Internet Security. He is presently writing a book, provisionally titled ‘Building your own ISP’ due to be released in 2013.
